Indonesia Can Grow 6.6% in 2013: Central Bank Director
Indonesia’s pace of economic growth can rise to 6.6 percent in 2013, driven by increased activity ahead of elections the next year, a central bank official said Friday.
Bank Indonesia has projected the economy will grow 6.3 percent this year.
Perry Warjiyo, the central bank’s director of monetary research, told reporters that a higher growth rate than this year is attainable.
The central bank estimates that annual inflation in December would stay mild at 4.3 percent on an annual basis, similar to November’s pace.
